Tour Overview
This is the foundation of every Errachidia desert experience: a reliable, comfortable transfer from the airport to the edge of the Sahara. But it is more than a taxi ride. Your driver meets you inside the terminal, helps with luggage, and drives you through one of the most underrated landscapes in Morocco—the Tafilalt oasis—before the dunes even appear on the horizon.
The base service is a direct transfer for €80. Most travelers, however, add the sunset camel trek and overnight camp package. This turns your airport pickup into a seamless "fly-in desert camp" experience. Land at 2:00 PM, photograph the sunset from a camel at 5:30 PM, sleep under the stars, and return to the airport by noon the next day.
Because we are based locally, we monitor your flight in real time. Delayed arrivals are not a problem. We also coordinate with desert camps to hold your tent even if you are running late.
Honest note: Errachidia Airport is small. There is no duty-free, no Starbucks, and sometimes the baggage claim is a cart wheeled out by hand. Embrace it. Twenty minutes after landing, you are already in the car and heading toward the desert.

Itinerary Options
Option A – Direct Transfer Only
Your driver meets you at the airport arrivals hall with a name sign. Load luggage and depart immediately for Merzouga. The drive takes approximately two hours through the Tafilalt palm groves and the town of Erfoud. You are dropped at your Merzouga hotel, desert camp meeting point, or auberge of your choice.
Option B – Transfer + Sunset Camel Trek
Same pickup, but upon arrival in Merzouga you are taken directly to the camel departure point. Ride into the dunes for sunset (approximately 90 minutes). After the trek, your driver returns you to your Merzouga accommodation or drives you back to Errachidia if you have a late hotel check-in there.
Option C – Fly-In Desert Camp (Most Popular)
Pickup from the airport between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Transfer to Merzouga. Camel trek into the dunes at sunset. Overnight in a traditional Berber camp with dinner and live music. Sunrise dune climb and breakfast. Camel or 4x4 return to the village. Transfer back to Errachidia airport or hotel, arriving between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

We track your flight. If you are delayed, the driver adjusts. If the delay is severe and you miss the sunset camel trek, we can arrange a dawn trek the next morning or a 4x4 night transfer to camp.

Yes. The road is paved and well-traveled. If your flight arrives after dark, we still provide the transfer. Note that camel treks after dark are not standard; in that case, you would transfer to camp by 4x4.

Unfortunately, a round-trip transfer plus camel trek requires at least 18–20 hours to be enjoyable. For short layovers, we recommend a direct transfer to a nearby hotel or a brief stop in Erfoud.
